Just Very Relaxing, and the Views could not be any better.
I enjoyed my stay in this hotel where the receptionist greeted me in a welcoming way. When I couldn't work the key to my door properly he cameup and patiently showed me how it should be used. The rest of the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful---- giving me directions to Benmore Gardens and remembering the next day to ask if I had enjoyed that visit. My room was very comfortable and the breakfast good. Seats in the south facing garden were an asset. One could sit therereading or just enjoying the spectacular view.
Best bit was that it was direct on the sea front and I had a decent sea view room, The manager was very very good and did his best to make sure all was good for me even though he was walking about on crutches! I had to suggest to him that he just told me where to go and no need to show me to my room. Bravo for trying to be so helpful though!
The Hotel looked a little tired from the outside so not a good impression at first. Also was full of pensioners. Well I guess I cannot avoid that if I decide to stay at a Hotel that caters for retired tourists and coach parties eh?
we only used the hotel for b & b and were satisfied with our stay
room was poor and needed a lick of paint, one pillow for each of us (a sunday news paper is thicker) breakfast was if it came from a burger van, as it was the Cowal gatthering hotels were scarse we paid £130 for one night b&b what a rip off, we complained to the hotel the next day and they would not give a discount.Never again, I will take a tent if this is the last hotel
I thought the hotel was clean, rooms really comfortable, great choice of tv channels and staff very friendly:-)
This was my first time at this hotel, and from the begining I was welcomed at reception. Then I was allocated my room, with a stunning view across the bay. The meals were excellant, quickly delivered to the yable, all in all an excellent hotel.
the hotel was good the breakfast in the morn was very good room's nice and tidy .
The whole stay was superb. We could not fault the hotel at all. Food great and plenty. Staff very friendly.Rooms a good size, very comfy and clean and modern. Entertainment in the evening good. Single room price for my mum was not exorbitant like some other hotels. Would definitely go again.
I stayed at this Hotel with my teenage n forso my daughters wedding. It was a fine basic good value for money. When I first arrived there in the car we thought it didnt look very nice but once inside it was fine and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a very wet and windy weekend when we stayed so only had a quick walk to the beach.
It had a fishermans convention on the weekend we stayed and was full of older people.
Location overlooking the sea and nice staff
was vere frandly
the views and the peacefull surrounds and the friendly people.
Friendly start at Reception, given room and find a pleasant well fitted out room with all the attachments that you expect. Bedding was well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was served with good manners from a good menu. All in all a good pleasant stay.
We found the hotel convenient, well situated for our stop-over from the Inner Hebredes and car ferries in and around the Dunoon & Cowal Peninsula.
Unfortunately whilst our bedroom was clean and comfortable, the bathroom required attention which was mentioned at Reception but not acted on ---- and remained so to the end of our 2 night stay.
